About

I’m Virginie, a member of the Order of Acupuncturists of Quebec.

Deeply convinced of the valuable complementarity between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western science, I support my patients with compassion and professionalism, helping them optimize their health goals and find relief from suffering.

I believe in mutual support, in the good within people, in the power of listening and feeling truly understood. I love movement and rest, laughter, tears, the warmth of a spring breeze and the beauty of difference.

Seasonal
allergies

The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes acupuncture as an effective treatment for respiratory conditions such as seasonal allergies, asthma, and sinusitis. Acupuncture helps stimulate the immune and nervous systems, supporting natural regulatory mechanisms and the body’s inflammatory response.

4 to 6 weekly treatments are recommended,

starting 1 to 2 months before the onset of symptoms.

Stress, anxiety
& hormonal imbalance

Acupuncture can support the body in managing stress and anxiety. It can also help regulate hormonal imbalances and support better balance in sleep, menstrual, and digestive functions. Additionally, many symptoms of perimenopause and menopause can be relieved, helping to ease this important stage of transition.

Scars

Acupuncture can support the healing process by stimulating blood circulation and cellular activity, reducing pain and inflammation, and improving tissue flexibility. It can be used preventively to promote optimal healing, as well as on older scars that remain painful, rigid, or adherent.

I regularly treat post-surgical scars, including those from cesarean sections, breast surgeries, and more.

Acupuncture

A therapeutic practice with more than 3,000 years of history, acupuncture originates from Traditional Chinese Medicine and is now studied and applied within a modern medical framework.

It involves stimulating specific points on the body; most often with fine needles, to modulate the activity of the brain’s central nervous system and promote physiological balance. Scientific research shows that acupuncture can influence the release of neurotransmitters, helping to reduce pain and inflammation, while improving mood, sleep, and overall well-being.

Acupuncture also acts on the immune system and inflammatory processes, supporting the body’s natural defense and repair mechanisms. This interaction between the nervous, hormonal, and immune systems helps explain its effectiveness in a wide range of clinical contexts. When integrated into a holistic approach to health, acupuncture offers a complementary method to enhance well-being and support healing.
